We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our IT & IS Support Desk.  The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing superior services to our internal customers, managing our technology and application systems, working with executive management to chart the ever-evolving technology and software solutions for the whole organization.  This role will ensure that IT meets or exceeds the needs of operating business units in delivering on our promise to our customers. The ideal candidate will provide leadership in establishing services, a playbook of execution, feedback loops through surveys and direct communication with executive and operational team members.

 

 

Requirements:

This position provides team oversight and hands-on support for business application, computer software and hardware support for various business operations across multiple operating units.

 

  • Technical leadership experience with desktop support of hardware, software and TCP/IP networks.
  • Knowledge of remote access capabilities (VPN, video, phone or chat) to large enterprise systems based on role-based access and security protocols.
  • Lead the organizational efforts to standardize hardware solutions and integration across common software applications/solutions.
  • Provide team leadership and management of related processes and resources including evaluation and mentoring of team resources, training support and coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Manage day-to-day activities ensuring focus on priorities, resolution of conflicts to meet services, improvement plans, project completion and risk remediation.
  • Lead the hardware rollouts and software administration, updates, patches and security as needed.
  • Independently resolve widely varying problems using current job knowledge, research and external resources.
  • Create and ensure established process/procedures are maintained and adhered to for IT related work or IT request and appropriately triage requests, issues and monitor as required.
  • Act as a point of escalation for unresolved or escalated needs.  When needed perform the duties of subordinates, providing Level 1 and Level 2 support.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
     

 

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Prior desktop support or application software support.  Minimum 5 years' experience in similar role including Help Desk and Desktop leadership.
  • Proven track record of strong execution in a customer focused environment.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate desktop technologies including Microsoft Windows Operating systems, Active Directory, Jira, SCCM/MOM, AV and endpoint protection tools, Azure, AWS, O365 support, backup of endpoints, basic security, Mobile Device Management, and MAC OS.
  • Knowledge of mobile device management and safeguarding company owned data.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software products such as Windows 7, 8, 10 and 2008.
  • Excellent communication skills a must.
  • Software and hardware certifications: A+, MCP, MCSE or equivalent.
  • Implement new systems and software in a growing organization.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

 

 

Education:

  • AS or BS degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred
