Responsibilities:

 

We are seeking an experienced automotive dealership professional to lead our Treasury Management.  The ideal candidate will play a key role in corporate Treasury Management strategy creation and execution. The candidate will evaluate daily cash positions, overseeing various inventory line-of-credits debt term-facilities, short-term borrowings and investments, and various other capital instruments.  The position will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer, and will partner with accounting, tax, financial planning and analysis, risk management and legal teams to assist with overall Treasury and capital allocation strategies.  Additionally, the candidate will lead and collaborate with key executives, store General Managers, and other stakeholders in implementation of cash-flow management process and technologies across the family of dealerships. 

 

 

General Duties:

  • Lead in identifying, gathering and tracking daily/monthly cash-flows, debt borrowings and investments. 
  • Evaluate daily cash positions, conduct daily inventory borrowing’s and/or repayments, and when needed execute investment trades for short-term cash needs
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of debt principal and interest payments
  • Forecast interest rates, conduct interest rate scenario planning, assess cash flow needs and forecast interest income and expense
  • Manage the reporting and compliance of bank covenants
  • Assist accounting and financial teams in inventory and financial audits
  • Assist with developing strategies to improve cash flow performance via interest rate hedging strategies, process improvements, etcetera
  • Prepare monthly treasury dashboard and management reporting
  • Assist accounting, operational teams and executive management to track, report and collect manufacturer performance incentives timely
  • Document current processes, define operational gaps and recommend standardized processes
  • Research and recommend changes in treasury, merchant, and debt service structures to maximize cash-flow and provide flexibility to operations
  • Cultivate relationships with capital partners and identify opportunities to decrease the cost of capital
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects, system implementation, process improvements and reporting, and additional duties as directed

 

Ideal Candidate Professional Traits:

  • Self-starter, motivated by results, problem solver, team player
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting a must, MBA a big plus
  • Automotive Industry/Dealer Automotive experience a big plus
  • Corporate treasury experience (5+ years) related to banking and cash management strongly desired
  • Basic knowledge of derivative instruments and/or hedging strategies
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial statements, strong communication skills a must
  • Strong computer skills, proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) a big plus
  • CDK Global experience a big plus
  • Comfortable with operating multiple application systems
  • Demonstrated success building consensus, coaching and working in team environment
  • Ability to complete multiple projects on time with varying timelines and priorities
  • Some domestic travel may be required
