We are seeking an IT/IS Support Specialist to join and grow within our IT/IS department. Our technology department is a positive team environment where we support, encourage, and challenge one another to succeed and grow while focusing on our internal customers and their needs. The ideal specialist will play a crucial role providing superior services to our internal customers, helping to develop our technology and application systems in an environment of ever-evolving technology and software. This role will be part of a team that ensures that IT/IS meets or exceeds the needs of operating business units who deliver on our promises to our customers. The ideal candidate will have solid IT/IS technology skills, critical thinking skills, the ability to work independently, be task-orientated, proactive, and have a desire to learn new systems and software to grow as an IT/IS professional.

Requirements:

This position provides hands-on support across multiple operating units, including the following:

  • Technical experience with desktop support of hardware, software, TCP/IP networks for both wired and wireless environments.
  • Knowledge of remote access capabilities (VPN, video, phone and chat) to enterprise systems using role-based access and security protocols.
  • Experience with Active Directory and Exchange server administration.
  • Ability to help with and/or lead hardware rollouts, software administration, updates, patches and security as needed.
  • Independently resolve widely-varying issues using current job knowledge, research, and external resources.
  • Follow established processes/procedures, and ensure they are maintained and adhered to for IT/IS related work and IT/IS requests.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Background, and Abilities:

  • Prior desktop and application support with minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of corporate desktop technologies, like Microsoft OS, Server OS Active Directory, SCCM/MOM, AV and endpoint protection tools, Azure, AWS, O365 support, basic security, and MAC OS.
  • Experience with the following a plus: scripting, programming, advanced server configuration, Cisco VoIP, Cisco servers and appliances, mobile device management and experience safeguarding company-owned data.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software products, including Office365.
  • Friendly, helpful demeaner with a desire to provide superior customer service.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

 

Education:

  • Software and hardware certifications preferred: A+, MCP, MCSE.
  • AS in Management Information Systems or Computer Science a plus.
